And So Here We Are....

Quick update on my life.

I start Starbucks THIS monday.

My Dad is having chemo this week.

AND...

My grandma woke up today....she is smiling (well, half smiling what with the paralyzation) and she ATE today.

We are not out of the woods...

But it is a morsel of 'good' for today.

Hi again...

So, my Grandma is still hanging on....she goes for a cat scan tomorrow in Terrace to see how bad the stroke was...we know it was BAD b/c she didn't even really open her eyes for close to 3 days. She is opening her eyes BUT the Dr. warned us not to get too excited and then this afternoon her breathing was VERY LABOURED...she actually stopped breathing a few times...

It's pretty much a waiting game these days...

I am more emotionally exhausted than I can explain...

My sister Vanessa suggested that we get our tear ducts removed...

I am seriously considering that suggestion!

Family Update

Hi all...

Just an update to let those of you who keep updated by reading my blog, that my Grandma Richmond (who lives here with me in Smithers) had a severe stroke Saturday night. There is no chance for restoration or survival....our whole family is here now just waiting...

It's such a strange feeling..we are such a close family and I'm SO glad we had Grandma and Grandpa over every week for dinner...I'm so glad that family has always taken presedence over anything else....

We are sad today...

Can You Say....BARISTA????

Ok blogger friends.

I have a confession.

I have almost finished one course in my Teacher's Aide program and I have realized something.

I DO NOT LOVE IT.

After the news I got about my Dad last week, I kind of re-evaluated what I wanted to do..

Any you know what?

I want to be a BARISTA. (A person who makes espresso etc....)

I got a job at STARBUCKS!!!!!!!! I went in and they hired me on the spot (now, that does alot for a girls confidence!). I start my training June 19th, then the grand opening is July 14th. I am just going to work part-time but I am really really excited! For those of you who know me, you know that I have wanted to work at Starbucks for a long long time but since there wasn't one here, that wasn't an option...well, now it is!!!!!!!!

Anyway, my husband is excited too...why you ask? Is it because he's excited I found something I love? NO. Is is because he wants me to feel fulfilled. NO. Is it because employees at Starbucks get one free pound of coffee a week? UH....YES.

So...for all my readers out there (and by 'all' I mean, Heather, DJ, Billie, Rebecca and Kim) I really hope you don't think I'm a quitter...because I feel like I woke up this week!!!!
