To Cry Or Not To Cry......

I love the summer.

I love this summer.

Let me explain why.

I have no children that are in diapers, need naps, can't feed themselves or need to go to bed before 8.....I have no children that wake up early....I'm in a no little kid zone....and I like it.

It's been beautiful weather this year (since the end of May, we have only had two weeks of crappy weather, and that was when H and H were here....SUCKY!).

We have been having fun camping (in our funky old camper) this year.

And now....
I have a cold.

A summer, sore throat, dry coughy, stuffed up ears and nose kind of cold.

Serves me right for bragging about the kid thing.

Mama Wal-Mart...I love you....

Yesterday I dropped two of my baby girls off at camp. Ok, they are 8 and 9, but they are still my babies, and they are still going to be gone for FIVE days and FIVE nights.

So, Calvin and I had to drive to Terrace (2 hours away) to bring the girls to Lakelse Camp....once we got there, the girls were beyond excited. They were happy for us to take them to their cabin and then gave us kisses and off they ran...into the abyss...away from their Mama.

We got in the van and I made it to the end of the road before breaking down. I cried hard for a couple of minutes before Calvin asked if I was hungry.

Well....I'm sad so I must be hungry.

How about Pizza Hut?

Well...I'm starting to feel better.....

We have our pizza, and are driving out of Terrace when I felt this tightening in my chest. Very quickly I realized that I wasn't feeling all better. One other thing would help.

I'd already eaten, so what was left????

Going to Wal-Mart.

Food and spending money (usually in that order). Spending money at a store that people love to hate. Spending money on cheap Tylenol, crackers, garden decor and t-shirts. Buying fifty dollars in stuff I was fine not having three hours before. Wasting 45 minutes of my life to buy 3 dollar picture frames.

You had me at 'hello, welcome to Wal-Mart'.
