All About Me...tagged by BillieJean

Ok, here goes.....5 things that people wouldn't know about me....(which might be hard because I'm pretty much a blubbering idiot who wears her heart on her sleeve)

1. I have a crush on 'Jim' from the t.v. show 'The Office'

2. I don't like my wedding ring.

3. I get 'hair stress' everytime I get my haircut. I freak out for a couple of days in a big way until I realize that I like the hairdo.

4. I'm glad we had three girls and am VERY happy we didn't have a boy. (No offense to anyone with a boy, I just don't get them!!)

5. I'm a big talker who really is an insecure little girl on the inside.

I'm going to tag my pregnant buddy Heather.....she's got nothing but time!!! (Hee Hee)

The One Where I''m Not Connected

Sorry I haven't blogged in a while, my computer had to go to the doctor. Can I just say that you start to feel VERY disconnected when you don't have a computer. I would walk over to the corner our computer is in and assume the position (right hand getting ready to click) and then remember that 'it' was gone. For a week. (The shop was BACKED up and in Smithers, there isn't alot of option for computer fixin') For a week, I didn't read the news. For a week, I had no idea what my bank balance was. For a week, I missed out on all kinds of exciting deals on EBAY. For a week, I didn't know what the weather was going to be like until I went outside. For a week, I didn't know that Justin and Cameron broke up. For a week, I had no idea that there was no peace in the middle east (ok, that would have been a given, but still, I couldn't be SURE!!!). I guess I could've bought a paper or turned on the t.v. but what fun is that?

The One Where the Family Goes Home.....

Well, another year has come and gone...so long and farewell to 2006!

We had a GREAT holiday this year, Calvin had 11 glorious days off! We coffee'd with family, laughed, drank, ATE WAY TOO MUCH (sidenote, I'm so going to the gym tomorrow), played trivial pursuit, skated, sledded and SLEPT IN!

A whole bunch of the Richmond crew descended on our little town...it was perfect bedlum. We all went to church Sunday the 24th and filled up rows upon rows at MVA. Delaney and my Mom did a violin duet, Vanessa and her boyfriend Aaron sang (and it was AWESOME) and then Uncle Don preached....and it all felt like settling into a comfy pair of jeans. After church we all invaded Jer and Ty's house where we at pizza and watched the kids run around....then decided..hey...let's all go sledding! I'm not BLAMING anyone, I'm just saying that someone of my stature should not be encouraged to ride an inner tube down a hill with an 8 percent grade! Anyway, we all went home and ate chinese food. Kyle and Liz stayed over here with Kaleb and Mikah, which was so cool for my girls. They played so well together, then would go out and skate on the rink, then come in and play some more! Christmas morning we woke up and it was family breakfast at the Elliott's! Then we opened a crazy amount of presents, played with our new stuff and tried to make our way through the boxes of paper! We hung out and then had Christmas dinner at my Mom's. Honestly, it was a super enjoyable day. The next couple of days we did our own stuff, had friends over, skated and sledded some more. Liz, Kyle, Mikah, Kaleb, Lane, Scottie and Amiee all came back on the 28th and we had dinner, played the infamous game of Trivial Pursuit (in which the boys TRASH talked so much about how they would kick our butts, only to watch us get 4 UNANSWERED wedges....they finally got one wedge, but soon after we got the last two. We win right? Well, every other time we have played, we only play to who gets 6 pies. NOT SO THIS TIME, this time, we had to go to the middle and answer one more question. It took us half a fricken hour to get to the middle, then we tossed two answers around and said the WRONG ONE. ARGGGGGG!! Long story even longer, we lost. TECHNICALLY. We had all six pies first. I'm just saying.) After what I'm sure will be known as the longest game in history, we went to bed. Got up the next day, watched Canada kick butt in the world juniors, ate turkey soup, skated and then had to say good bye to our family. It was actually sad to see everyone go...I mean, it's alot of work to have everyone here but then they all leave and it's so quiet!

Anyway, Christmas is over, we made it through New Years (stayed up until 12:03!!) and thank you Lord for the blessings that 2007 will hold.
