I Wish We All Could Be California Girls....
California by numbers....
13 The number of days the temperature was higher than +20.
2 The number of days the temperature was higher than +30!!!
0 days it rained in California while we were there.
6 Days we went to Disneyland and California Adventures.
1 time that we saw Polar Bears 'gettin it ON'
2 Haunted Houses we visited
1 Haunted House that had the girls screaming and running out of it.
Apparently PG 13 isn't just a 'suggestion'
3 days when we just relaxed by the pool
0 pounds gained by ME!!!! (Walking for 8 hours a day will keep the calorie count down)
1 time that Vanessa and I worked out at the hotel gym....better than 0?!?!
7 times that Delaney threw up on the trip (not sick from rides, only driving in
stop-start traffic of LA)
90 minutes that it took us to go 59 kms from the hotel to Universal Studios. Traffic.
UGH.
7 lanes that were bumper to bumper traffic in LA. Glad we only went there twice.
1 Limo ride.
5 Roller Coasters we went on.
1 Elvis walking me down the vow renewal aisle.
4 Killer Whales we saw. In Seaworld....not 'wild' but still cool.
800 Miles we drove in our Suburban (that's 1280 kms)
200 Miles the Suburban had on it when we got it!
2.99 cost of fuel per gallon in California
7.42 amount I won in Vegas
25 amount I LOST in Vegas
2 The number of times I ate a 'Churro'. For those of you who don't know what this
is, it tastes just like a mini donut but it's long (like a big celery stalk of unhealthiness)
2 times I was on a ride and it broke down....I think I may be bad luck.
1 time that I went to Wal-Mart and was most definitely a minority. Calvin and I
were the ONLY people not speaking Spanish.
4 goals that the Anaheim Ducks scored over the Chicago Blackhawks at the game we
went to.
567 number of pictures I took while on Vacation
All in all a great trip, SO different than Hawaii last year. The girls had a great time, we had lots of fun as a family but next year, we're going back to Hawaii and laying on the beach for two weeks.
