Why I Don't Own FIVE kids....

I do not have five kids.

Except today I do. (The neighbour girl Mercades is also over in this picture!!!)

Mark and Tanya are a couple of our closest friends...they were both in our wedding party back in 'the day' (although, at that time they were 'on a break' but who can keep up!), anyway, they are in Costa Rica, and since Tanya's mom had to go out of town Monday, Tanya had asked if we could watch her kids until Thursday. SURE! NO PROBLEMO!!!

Except.......

Problemo.

We get two weeks of Spring Break up here in loverly Smithers, this is week two, and I'm not one of those Mom's who don't like having their kids home...I actually do like it. For the most part. Please remember, I have two kids in full time school and another one who goes four afternoons a week. I have a lot (in my mind) of 'Michelle' time. AND I LIKE IT THAT WAY. Having five kids ranging in age from 3-8 is not as easy as you'd think! Do you know how many eggs I had to make for lunch today? A DOZEN!!! There were spills and crying, yelling and screaming and that was just me! The kids are good...it's not that, it's just very tiring to hear kids ALL DAY. NO BREAKS.

And that's not all....

I even let them ALL PAINT....just so I didn't feel guilty about sending them outside to play in the ditch all day. Yes...the ditch...it's fun...there's water...and dirt....you should try it!

I woke Calvin up at four, and asked him to count the kids to make sure they were all accounted for. CHECK.

I also asked him to pur me something...alcohalic.

There is a reason I don't homeschool....

There is a reason I didn't have more kids....

I'm too selfish.

I freely admit it.

So sue me....

But before you do, I'd love a Grande two pump white mocha americano misto with non fat milk.

Things you don't want to hear from your 4 year old daughter's friend...

'Mrs. Elliott...I'm going to eat two sandwiches at lunch so I can have a big belly....JUST LIKE YOURS!!!'
