Happy (early) Birthday Ave!
Yesterday we had Avery's 6th Birthday party, even though her birthday is 3 weeks away....why you ask? Well, normally, I'm not crazy busy in December but this year is different because I'm singing in the community cantata so we have rehersals every weekend until the performance! Anyway, we had a gymnastics party and it was a blast.
Dear Avery Vanessa,
Our little Avery wiener, our creative, beautiful, graceful daughter....we love you. The day you were born, we were so surprised, we thought FOR SURE you were a boy! SURPRISE! Actually, that was the second time you surprised us :0)
The thing that is most memorable about you as a baby was how beautiful you were, I mean, I hate to brag but you were positively angelic (and to tell the truth, you are a gorgeous little girl even now)...the other thing I remember is how you just 'sat' and played! You would have one toy and be content forever! Of course, if someone tried to take it away, WATCH OUT!!!!
I love how you are so vivid. I love how you emote through your eyes...I mean they literally DANCE with excitment when you talk about something you love. I love how there is never a toilet paper roll in this house that hasn't been glued, taped or stapled into some craft or another. I love that you always start your sentances with 'I KNOW WHAT WE CAN DO!!!' I love that you are so very loyal to your sisters. I love that you say few words to people you don't know, but say all kinds of crazy things to the people closest to you.
I love that you actually think it's weird when girls don't like watching hockey! (Oh, and Dad loves it that you LOVE LOVE LOVE the Maple Leafs and refuse to accept that Vancouver is Mom's favourite team).
God made you special Ave, and you are the perfect middle kid for this Elliott clan.
Happy 6th Birthday babe.

Happy Birthday Avery! You captivated me as a baby and I thought you were the most beautiful baby I had ever seen.
As you've grown you have continued to amaze me. You have a deep sensitivity towards spiritual things and your compassionate heart is already a wonder to behold. I pray that no shadow or nightmare would be able to harden your soft heart.
May 6 be wonderful!
Love,
Auntie Heather, Uncle Hugh, Tristan & Ava
Happy Birthday Avery Elliott! I can not believe it has already been 6 years since your mommy and I were pregnate and gave birth to our girls one day apart. I hope you have a wonderful year being 6 and enjoy all of lifes wonderful surprises. It was fun reading what your mom wrote about you and I find it interesting that you and Mercy are more alike then we all knew. She too loves to glue and cut and colour anything and everything that isnt nailed down. She is constanly coming up with ideas for playing and usuing her imagination. I often hear her saying, "I KNOW WHAT WE CAN DO!" I sure hope that one day you guys and us live close by each other so you and Mercy can become better friends. You all are dear to our hearts!
Love
Rebecca, Darrin, Mercy and Dawson Meier
